It has been found to be extremely useful in situations where traditional models have failed. It has been also used to treat a lot of personal anxiety problems. DBT harps on controlling human emotions.
  6. Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP): This therapy treats Pain and Anxiety Disorders from a very interpersonal perspective. It is used to make patients feel confident about facing challenging anxiety situations.
  7. Compassion Informed Psychotherapy: Again a very interpersonal way of conducting the therapy, it is used in very acute and advanced cases.
  8. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): A rather new addition to the array of CBT techniques, this method makes use of mindfulness and thought-reactions.
  9. Integrative Couples Behavior Therapy (ICBT): A specialized addition, this therapy tries to weed out anxieties and fears amongst couples. Also used to resolve conflicts, its usage has increased over a period of time.
